An Ex-Expatriate's Musings on Writing, Teaching, and Travel

Blog

As a writer, teacher, and world-traveler, Sybil Baker offers advice and reflection on all of these topics on her blog.

Sybil Baker is a writer who has published fiction and essays in numerous literary journals and anthologies. She spent twelve years teaching in South Korea prior to accepting a position as an assistant professor of English at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has traveled to over thirty countries. During her extensive travels throughout Asia, she became increasingly interested in the allure and alienation of American travelers and expatriates, and this has heavily influenced her writing. Her latest publication, a novel called The Life Plan, is now available from Casperian Books.

  1. Your novel sounds really interesting. I'll come back to find that promised first chapter - the link took me to a synopsis, but I'll be back.
