I've spent the last 15 years traveling around the globe as a "dependent spouse" of my Foreign Service husband who works in Embassies and Consulates around the globe. "Ahh!" You say, "A diplomat's life. How romantic!" I say, "Ha." Come visit my blog to see what life is really like for an Embassy Wife: roosters that incite me to thoughts of violence, exploding laundry soap, earthquakes, volcanoes, and a 9-step process to get a cell phone. I blog regularly as The Embassy Wife at http://kellyarmstrong.pnn.comabout our current adventures in Central America.
Bio
I grew up in South Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University, all while suffering from a near-terminal case of wanderlust. After graduation, I joined the Foreign Service, married a like-minded man and we took off for the wilds of Frankfurt, Germany. That was in 1993, and we've hardly been back since. We've lived in Germany (twice), Israel, Indonesia, Croatia, and are now in Costa Rica with our three sons.
