Thank you for your participation and continued involvement in the directory. The winning members slogan will be added to the blog description and the members blog will be listed as the featured blog for two weeks, starting this Sunday.

Top Commenter is now running again for the next featured blog spot
Also Thanks to Pamposh who has given me a great competition idea for the following competition which will be running in April

The Hungry Mouse

Blog

A visual guide to food and cooking. Tasty, fresh content from Jessie's kitchen.

Bio

Not sure what to expect when you’re making a new recipe? Jessie will show you. Literally.

Her signature, step-by-step photo essays walk you through each recipe, so you know just what the process should look like before you step into the kitchen.

Jessie is not a trained chef. She just loves to cook—and write. (It’s really that simple.) Her nickname is Mouse, or more formally, Miss. Mouse. You can figure the rest out.

She’s worked a bit in the food industry, written restaurant reviews, and edited a handful of books. (Ask her about the time she interviewed Second Lady Tipper Gore at the White House.)

Jessie’s writing has been published in a number of places. When she’s not shopping for cheese or baking pies, she works as an advertising copywriter and runs Cake House Creative, an advertising and publishing consultancy.

Anita Birt - Weaver of Tales

Blog

At the present time I am posting chapters of an unpublished romance novel of mine, Dickens and Me. It's not about Dickens! I am emulating the great man by sending one chapter at a time to lure readers to my books as he did back in the 19th century.

Bio

I comment on my own books and other matters of interest. I own my blog. I have five books published as e-books by Cerridwen Press. My historical romance, A Very Difficult Man, was released in trade paperback in January. Is there anything else you need to know about me? I live in Victoria, British Columbia. I belonged to RWA, my local chapter and Canadian a authors network.

Blog

Lyn's Circle is on the topic of women and money. We've covered widows, domestic violence, spirituality, sexual harassment, and just about any issue important to 40+ women. I usually try to stay on one topic for a while rather than jump around. Even though I manage to stir up men occasionally and have been told I'm the worst thing that happened to this country since 9-11, I'm happily married.

Flower of the Heart

Blog

My blog is called "Voice of True Chinese Patriots", because the Chinese Communist Party uses its propaganda to make people think that people who care about human rights and therefore oppose to the govt. are traitors to China who make things up to damage the image of China. Therefore I hope to use my blog to show that the real case is human rights fighters are those who truly love China's land and people, and to make the world aware of the things that are happening in China. It basically just compose of the things that i care about: traditional Chinese culture and human rights issues in China. Most of the things in my blog are taken from various websites, mainly news websites, but occasionally I would write too. I am really proud of two of the articles that i wrote there. One was written after chatting with a stranger who works in mainland China; he told me how his factory mistreats the workers, how the govt. doesnt care, and how his factory was just a dot in the sea regarding this (http://www.xanga.com/VoiceOfPatriots/668579211/item/). The other is about a Chinese dissident who i know personally; for 5 years he was detained and forced to make export goods for at least 16 hours per day, just because of his faith in Falun Gong and because he wrote about human rights (http://www.xanga.com/VoiceOfPatriots/683746606/item/). The blog is multilangual because I want as many people to know about these things as possble.

Bio

I am from Hong Kong and am now going to college in the US. Chinese human rights activist. I have always been more aware of, and care more about Chinese human rights issues than my peers, but it wasn't until 3 years ago (I was almost 16 at that time), when I started practicing Falun Gong, that I began to dig deeper (much deeper actually) and started to do more about it instead of just learning about it. I now go to various social networking sites, forums, blog sites, etc. to raise awareness about human rights issues in China. I also write and translate articles, and I have translated a documentary and checked the translation of a movie, both about the persecution of Falun Gong.

My name is Trina Brandon, and I am the author and editor of DecorAddict, an Interior Design/Decor blog (along with snippets of the handmade, fine art, and diy!).

Bio

After a 10 year career in the travel industry, and after the devastation 9/11 caused to the travel industry, I went back to school here in Toronto to Humber College for Interior Design. I graduated in the fall of 2004. I started this blog in the summer of 2008 to help satisfy my own need of discussing design in all aspects to whomever would listen! This has proved to have taken off, as my readership has grown at the rate of 300% per month! Living in the city of Toronto of course gives me so much content to choose from in my posts, however I of course don't limit these to my own city.

Recovering Fatty

Blog

In 2006, I had gastric bypass surgery. As a result of losing 135 lbs within 8 months, I went through emotional and psychological struggles.  I refer to these struggles as “Reality vs. Mentality”.  Reality – (on the outside) I’m thin and healthy.  Mentality – (on the inside) I’m still obese.  I give accounts to my weight loss journey and how I struggle to accept and embrace the “new me”.

Bio

I’m 38 yrs old, have been mostly a staunch conservative Christian my entire life, and struggled with obesity until 2006.  At that time, I decided to undergo gastric bypass (aka wls, weight loss surgery, RNY) as I was facing three out of five cardiac risks.  My life was miserable.  I lived to eat, go to work, and pay bills.  I had no future or hope that I would ever have children, get married, even get a date because I hated my body and my self esteem was so poor.

Since my gastric bypass, and dropping 135 lbs, my entire life has changed. I am happy now, and enjoying the life that I always wanted.  Obesity stole so much from me, and I have taken everything back!

Originally from Illinois as a child, I moved to Tennessee when my family relocated over twenty years ago.  I live in Nashville, TN and work in the healthcare industry.

We love to travel and, between work and play, we spend a lot of time on the road. Our kids are constantly changing, as are their full range of appointments and activities. We often go months on end without being able to form a routine... You know, the usual stuff. We drink a lot of coffee! It works for us. We love our lives!
